Blog Hits

Between late last night and early this morning there were 25 new hits on this site.  I've personally given the link to only 3 people, so obviously it is traveling quickly since not many people would have a need to do a Google Search for the church between midnight and 7:30 AM.

I wish I could be a bug on the wall and hear today's sermon.  Perhaps it has something to do with people who bring discord and strife to the body and stir up dissension.  It is not wrong to question your pastor, to scour the Scriptures for truth, to question when something inside your heart tells you something is not right.  Be careful that you do not turn yourself, your hearts, mind, soul, to a man, but to God.

I leave you with this:

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I pray that each of you would seek the Truth in love.  (1 Cor. 13:4)

  1. I am wondering what the bgbc fears so much that they won't post every sermon on the web? Right now it is more of a cobweb site, with the last sermon posted dated November. Every sermon given there is recorded and reproduced within the hour so they must be available. Perhaps they fear the light of exposure. Ephesians 5:11 says- Take no part in the fruitless works of darkness; rather expose them.

The Lord saith: "My children, remember always that you are children of the light. Do not be afraid, nor fear the darkness, for the powers of darkness cower and flee from the light that is in you. Let your light never be dimmed by sin, but take special care, as one who tends the lighthouse, to make sure your light is a beacon to others and a sure sign of safety. There will come a day – and soon – when others will flock to your light. Now is not the time to hide your light under a basket, but to live truthfully and honestly in the Lord, letting his light shine through you into the world of death and darkness."

Why is this church cowering and hiding from the light?

    1. You're right. Maybe the lawsuit is keeping them preoccupied :)
