Getting out of the Funk

Discussing and thinking about spiritual abuse is heavy.  This wonderful video got me out of the funk this morning.  My youngest boys loved it.  It's only 45 seconds of pure sweetness and well worth the time investment.  Enjoy!

Julie Anne, you might want to check this out to make sure you want to keep this one on here. Its a preacher, I would say that may be on the abuser side of things but I found this clip totally unbelievable, but funny. I'm sure if I went to this church, I would be gone that day.

    1. yeah, JimmyDee, this guy's pretty twisted with his numerological gibberish and KJV Onlyism and such. if he only knew the Hebrew behind his preferred English translation he'd know the name "Jehovah" to be a purely artificial pronunciation of a name that was traditionally not pronounced [the Masoretes toward the end of the first millennium pointed the Tetragrammaton with the vowels of Adonai to remind them not to pronounce the sacred holy Name, to say "Adonai" instead. My Stone addition of the TaNaCH has YHWH pointed with the vowels of HaSHeM, which means "the Name", in the synagogues today they say "Hashem"]. Christian scholars believe the best approximate rendering of God's name to be Yahweh. I generally pronounce it Yahveh in line with modern Israeli Hebrew.

the video might actually be funny to me if it wasn't for the possibility that there are some dumb congregants in his church that may very well believe that real men don't pee sitting down--only sissies, Germans and NIV translators drain their vein that way!

"it's in the bible!" he says

      Unbelievable!

  2. I have watched this video several times since Julie Anne posted it. It puts a big smile on my face every time and I can't help but bop along to the song, too. :) I love how the twins look at each other, too. It is a nice relief from all this mess I've been dealing with on the situation with Faith Tabernacle. So, thanks, Julie Anne!
